Admitted to practice in the State of Washington (1999) and the United States Federal District Court (2004).
Graduated from Seattle University School of Law, Juris Doctorate, Eastern Washington University, Bachelor/Education, Masters/Education, with honors. A member of the Washington State Bar Association, the Seattle King County Bar Association, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Ms. Byram’s practice focuses on elder law, estate planning, benefit advocacy, guardianship, probate and special needs trusts.
Ms. Byram is currently the legislative liaison for the Elder Law and Guardianship section of the King County Bar Association and legislative liaison for the Elder Law section of the Washington State Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Washington Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA).
She is a frequent presenter at local seminars and continuing legal educations programs on issues related to Elder Law, Benefits Advocacy and Estate Planning. Recently she presented a seminar on providing for pets in estate plans.
Prior to law school, Ms. Byram contracted with International Business Machines (IBM), training educators on implementation of technology in the school environment. She also taught disabled and gifted students in grades K-8 in Washington, Massachusetts and Saudi Arabia.
